2-A-class Grade Crossing protection

Safety totem

Enyse is working in one of the two prototypes that Adif has awarded for the improvement of passenger protection at the 2-A-class pedestrian Grade Crossings at stations. This is the main goal of the challenge launched by Adif to fulfil one of its Sustainable Development Objectives, which demands

  • A system functionality complying with Technical Recommendation 3/2021 of AESF – Spain’s Railway Safety State Agency.
  • A passenger-interfacing system.

Based in these requirements, Enyse’s Passenger Subsystem ENYPasS will use LED and acoustic signalling along with buttons and, more importantly, fail-safe track-vacancy detection. Within the elements of ENYPasS, the Information Point sub-system, dubbed Safety totem, integrates a central-processing unit along the information to the passenger and the communication with a Control Centre facility.
