ENYSE JOINS UNIFE

Unife

On June 2021 UNIFE welcomed ENYSE along with 12 new members at its 2021 General Assembly. Operating in Brussels since 1992, UNIFE represents European rail infrastructure suppliers and train builders - its members account for 84% of the European, and 46% of the global, market for rail equipment and services.

UNIFE’s membership reflects all segments of Europe’s rail supply industry from Signalling to rolling stock manufacturers and infrastructure suppliers, as well as system integrators and engineering companies. Members are committed to collaborating on common challenges facing our sector, also providing the innovative technology needed to meet the growing demand for sustainable transport.

ENYSE will work along with its peers to help shape interoperability standards and the coordination of EU-funded research projects that contribute to the technical harmonization of railway systems. UNIFE’s reputation has allowed a close cooperation with the European Standardization Organizations such as CENELEC, and other organizations representing rail sector stakeholders.

Significant EU funds are available for investment in the European rail system. UNIFE advocates at the EU and Member State level for the proper use, absorption and spending of these funds in rail. Investing in rail will be a key pillar of the EU Green Deal as it will play a key role in advancing on the EU decarbonization agenda for transport. ENYSE is fully committed to the spirit of cooperation and common development of European and worldwide railways which UNIFE represents.
