FGV awards the electronic interlocking for Machado´s Depot to Enyse


Enyse has been awarded with the woks for technical upgrade of the Signalling facilities of Machado’s depot, envisaging the safe movements of trains within the depot as well as the connecting routes with the main line. Valencia’s Autonomous Region Railways, FGV, uses Machado’s depot for maintenance works of rolling stock units serving lines 3, 5, 7 and 9.

The contract includes the design, manufacture, supply and installation works of an EiS23 electronic interlocking to control the depot located at Hermanos Machado Avenue, which will replace the existing 1994 relay-based interlocking. Works to be executed within the scope of the contract include

  • Local Control Panel - HMI depicted above.
  • A distant control Panel to survey movements to and from the Depot and its collateral stations.
  • Enyse’s EiS23 electronic interlocking, including a Maintenance Aid System.
  • New electric Point Machines.
  • Axle counter-based track vacancy detection system.
  • New LED- technology wayside signals.
  • All necessary cabling and associated minor civil works.
  • Modification of the existing CTC at Valencia Sud in order to include the new functionalities available at Machado’s Local Control Panel.
