Signalling and Telecommunications in the Palencia-Santander line

Adif has awarded Enyse with the contract for the design, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Signalling and Telecommunication systems of the Mataporquera-Bárcena section of the Palencia-Santander line in Nothern Spain. The contract is worth approximately 14 million eur for an execution period of 18 months.

The Project includes the installation of EiS23 electronic interlocking at the stations of Mataporquera, Pozazal, Sopeña, Reinosa, Lantueno-Santiurde, Pesquera, Montabliz and Cobejo, as well as the installation of new track circuits, axle counters, LED wayside signals, ASFA balisses and a centralized block system between Mataporquera and Bárcena.

Standardized electric point machines will also be supplied and installed at Pozazal and Sopeña, as well as the new cable network for both systems. Ancillary civil works are also part of the contract, including the upgrade or construction of technical buildings.

On the Telecomms side, a new 64 fiber optic cable will serve the section, with IP network equipment at the stations of Lantueno, Pesquera, Cobejo, Montabliz and Bárcena and STM nodes at each station.
