Supply and Install of a level crossing in the access to workshops of Metro Santiago (line 6)

Paso a nivel en acceso a talleres de Metro Santiago

The project consists of the functional design, engineering development, supply, install, testing and commissioning of a level crossing (LC) with automatic block signaling (BAB), located at the chainage 4,425 of Ramal Alameda - Barrancas, access to workshops Metro L6.

The objective of this level crossing is to detect the presence of trains, inform the driver of the state of the crossing, advise vehicles and pedestrians that approach the LC of the proximity of a train and limit the traffic of vehicles by barriers.

The system will have the following functional components:

  • Train detection system. This system will consist of axle electronic detectors RSR-180 axle.
  • Set of railway signals for LC
  • System of automatic barriers for vehicles
  • System of road signals
  • Bidirectional reset system
  • Control system of the LC elements and their joint operation

The offered solution for this project is the level crossing model ENYSE E-300, designed as an evolution of the model E-100. The LC E-300 uses the latest cutting edge technology, enabling a higher level of integration and a drastic reduction in consumption levels.

The E-300 solution consists of modules and processors to ensure a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 4, according to CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159-2. This LC is approved by ADIF and is already installed on Australian railways.
