Modernization of the Thenia-Tizi Ouzou line
Turnkey project: Signalling, Telecommunications and Energy. The actions taken were:
- Installation of the latest generation of electronic interlocking EIS23, approved by Adif according to security conditions established by the regulations of the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), providing a SIL4 security level.
- Installation of a Level 1 ETCS system
- Installation of a GSM-R system, using a fiber optic network of 72 fibers
- Adaptation of communications to the exploitation demands, with optical transmission of digital signals, four hierarchical level of SDH (STM-4-622 Mb/s) at Thénia and Tizi Ouzou stations, and STM-1 à 155 Mb/s in the rest of the line, through which transmission takes place of the blocks information and the command and control communications.
- Optical fiber laying to complete double ring of transmission for communications network.
- Automatic block in single track (BAU) with electronic technology and axle counter system ACS 2000, between stations and at all stations of the line.
- Videographic management system in all stations of the line.
- Track elements: Wayside Signals, Axle Counters, electrical Point Machines and telephony at Signals.
- Catenary installation of 25.000V 50Hz. At each station UPS+batteries are installed in order to ensure the required autonomy, with independent feeds for telecommunications and signalling.
- Construction and adaptation of a trench network in the section that allows the laying of cables required for the new installations.
- The cables have a reduction factor for protection against electromagnetic disturbances emitted by the catenary at 25kV 50Hz.
- Construction of the technical rooms for hosting the equipment of signalling, telecommunications and energy in all stations.
